Trafalgar Strategy has two exciting opportunities for an Account or Associate Director and a Consultant to join our fast growing team.

 

We are a strategic communications consultancy that advises on reputation and media management, campaigns, ESG, public affairs and complex communications challenges. We draw on experience from the highest levels of government in the UK and internationally. In recent years, we have delivered award-winning campaigns and dealt with some of the biggest issues that have led TV news bulletins and dominated newspaper front pages.

 

Roles:

 

Account/Associate Director: You'll manage key accounts, mentor junior team members, engage in business development, and provide strategic support to senior leadership. Essential skills include media relations expertise and deep knowledge of the UK political scene. Significant experience in a communications role or working for an MP is advantageous.

 

Consultant: Your primary focus will be to assist in delivering both proactive and reactive media and political engagement strategies to our clients. Perfect for those with a few years of experience in communications or policy roles. 

 

Typical Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and analyse business, media, and political landscapes

  • Develop and execute media and stakeholder engagement strategies

  • Produce high-quality client materials including press releases, briefings and social media content

  • Proactively pitch to media and engage with politicians

  • Assist in new business proposals and pitches

  • Coordinate media interviews and stakeholder meetings

  • Attend client events and industry conferences

  • Contribute to Trafalgar’s marketing activities including events and thought leadership

 

Skills:

  • Outstanding communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Strong research and analytical skills

  • Politically-minded and keen interest in current affairs

  • Ability to develop and cultivate client relationships and willingness to expand networks within politics and the media.

  • Understanding of diverse media forms (social, broadcast, print)

 

Location & Work Pattern:

  • Based in London (Farringdon)

  • Hybrid working (three days in-office)
